I think it's so cool that people who only had two things in common--an interest in wine and Twitter--could come to a stranger's house, having no idea who else would even be there, and have a great time together. Not only was the wine delish but the food was sooo good. I didn't think about taking pictures until the night was halfway over, otherwise I would have shown some of the tasty dishes people brought. 

A few weeks ago, I bought a case of wine and decided to see who wanted to try it with me by asking on Twitter if anyone was interested. It was totally spontaneous.

I thought it'd be fun to turn the tweetup into an amateur wine bloggers night. Various individuals and couples selected one wine to review on video. They were given a set of tasting questions, and each week, the "wine bloggers" will be featured on the TasteFresno blog, where they will share their take on the wine they chose. 

When the tweeps weren't recording, they got to taste at one of three tasting stations: whites, reds, and dessert wines. We all learned a lot, met some really interesting people, found other common interests (like gourmet cooking - yay!), and laughed a ton.
